This is an excellent Turtle Fossil Entoplastron Shell Scute. It is in magnificent condition with fine detail, heavily mineralized, and a beautiful jet black color. The flat underside of a turtle is called the plastron, and this is a section of that shell called the "entoplastron". Although, the common name used by most fossil hunters is the "Peace Sign" turtle shell or scute. Because of the lines on the outside of the shell section, it looks like a peace sign made by nature. Classic example of a Pleistocene reptile from the Ice Age of Florida. There are no repairs or restorations. Actual Specimen Pictured & Guaranteed Authentic.
